Friday 18 December and COVID reporting
Beckfoot Priestthorpe Primary School Confirmation of end of term date - Friday December 18th
You may have seen in the news that the Department for Education has given schools the option to close for the Christmas break one day earlier than planned.
Due to the disruption this would cause to our children and their families we will not be closing one day early. School will be open on Friday December 18th as planned. We are looking forward to spending the day with our learners and sending them off for a well-earned Christmas break.
Contact Tracing
Schools have been asked to continue contact tracing for positive Covid 19 cases for 6 days after the last teaching day, which is up to and including 24th December.
It is crucial for our families and staff to contact school immediately if a pupil or staff member starts to show symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, and goes on to test positive for Coronavirus.
We will then identify any close contacts and inform them that they must self-isolate.
To inform us of a positive test result please email covid19@beckfootpriestthorpe.org
We will need to know the following information when you email
- Name of child
- Class or year group
- Date your child last attended school
- Symptoms and date/time they started
- Date test taken
- Preferred telephone contact details (in case the Trust or school need to call you back)
