Today marked an exciting milestone for Beckfoot Priestthorpe as we officially opened our brand-new school library!
The event was made even more special thanks to a visit from Kate Pankhurst, author of the Fantastically Great Women series. Kate cut the ribbon to officially open our library before leading an assembly that inspired plenty of curiosity and creativity among our children. Shen then spent the day working with children in a series of illustration workshops, sharing insights into how she creates her stories and characters.
Every class has had the opportunity to explore our new library and borrow their own book to take home. School really has been filled with enthusiasm for reading, writing and imagination today.
Today has truly been a fantastic celebrations of books, storytelling, and creativity, and we are so proud of our new library, a space where a love of reading will continue to grow for years to come.
