Weekly Newsletter 07.11.2025

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a lovely half-term break and enjoyed the Bonfire Night celebrations. Year 3 have started the new term with an exciting trip to Nell Bank, setting the tone for a busy few weeks ahead. Next week, lots of classes will be heading out on trips to Bradford Live, Cliffe Castle and Damart – We can’t wait to hear all about their adventures.

On Monday, we’ll be marking the start of Anti-Bullying Week with Odd Socks Day – a fun reminder to celebrate our differences and spread kindness throughout our school community.

Early Years

Early years have been exploring the witches house.

Year 1

Year 1 have loved wool wrapping this week!

Year 2

This week Year 2 have been looking at how the Earth’s rotation causes day and night.

Year 3

Year 3 had a great day out at Nell Bank, learning all about the Stone Age.

Year 4

This week we have had even more circuit fun! We experimented more this week with different amounts of batteries, switches and motors. We were all extremely excited!

Year 5

Year 5 have moved onto their first DT project of the year. In pairs, they were tasked with the job of designing then creating a car that moved freely when pushed. They were given limited resources but had to consider the base to their vehicle (being solid and able to support the wheels), how the wheels would spin freely plus any other design features that they wanted to include.

Year 6

Year 6 have been learning about ecosystems in their geography lesson.  We discussed the differences between the different types of ecosystems and the animals and plants that depend on each other for survival.
