Pre-Loved Shop – Donations Welcome
We are always grateful for donations to our pre-loved shop, especially trousers, jumpers and PE kits for older children. Please drop these into the school office if you have any donations. We currently have a great selection of coats available to help keep our children warm, if you are interested, please drop us an email at [email protected] or pop into the school office. Road Safety – Please drive and park responsibly
Please be reminded to park and drive responsibly around our school at all times. Please do not park on yellow zigzag lines, there are there so children can cross the road safety. Please refer to Mrs Gunning’s important message on road safety.

Early Years
Reception have been learning about months of the year and seasons.
Year 1
We have loved designing rockets using our Sketchpa programme in Computing this week!
Year 2
Year 2 have been absolute superstars this week! The children have shown excellent learning behaviours and real pride in their handwriting, which has been lovely to see. In maths, we have been exploring division through grouping and sharing, alongside practising our multiplication facts for the 2s, 5s and 10s. In history, we learned about Boudicca and her rebellion against the Roman invasion, which led to some thoughtful and curious questions from the children.
Year 3
Year 3 have been investigating friction in Science this week.
Year 4
In ICT this week, Year 4 have been using a website called Trinket to experiment with HTML tags.
Year 5
In art this week, we were sketching then selectively applying felt tip pen to parts of the picture. We then used fine paintbrushes dipped into minimal water to spread the ink around the picture to create depth to the sketch.
Year 6
Year 6 had a fantastic experience in the Wonderdome. Our session was all about space travel and the various missions that humans have made possible. We looked at the Apollo and Challenger missions as well as learning about black and white holes (even animals that have travelled into space!). I was very proud of all of the children during the question and answer session and the teacher said he was really impressed with what the children already knew.
Pride Beyond School
We love seeing what our children are achieving beyond the school day! Whether it’s sporting success, music and dance achievements, community involvement, or personal milestones, it’s wonderful to celebrate the talents and efforts our pupils show outside of school. Times Table Rockstars is an award-winning maths learning platform where children can practice their times tables like a rock star! Certificates can be achieved every Thursday for the children who have made the most progress in terms of the biggest increase in accuracy that week. We also run in school competitions.

Accelerated Reader will allow children to read a book and then take an online quiz to test their knowledge and understanding of the text, and receive immediate feedback. Students respond to regular feedback and are motivated to improve their reading skills.
Spelling Shed uses the science of spelling to teach it to pupils. Using phonics as a base and drawing upon proven approaches such as teaching morphology, etymology, and orthographic mapping, as well as teaching spelling patterns. Children are set new activities on here each week.
